Lets see, which session would be best for you?

  • Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage is a great starting place if you are trying out bodywork for the first time! It is probably what you think of when you hear the word “massage”. In a therapeutic massage session, we work with your muscles to address your areas of pain, as well as decrease your overall physical and mental stress. One of the ways therapeutic massage heals your muscles is through reintroducing blood flow. This brings nourishing oxygen back into tense and constricted muscles, as well as disposes of wastes that have built up. Therapeutic massage also stretches your muscles through the angle and pressure of the massage techniques. Lastly, the compassionate touch and calming strokes of therapeutic massage do wonders for letting your entire body release and relax.

  • Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is similar to therapeutic massage, but gets into the muscles with a great deal of depth as well as specificity. I would recommend this option for you if you have received massage before and know that you need extremely deep pressure (the depth of therapeutic option ranges from light to moderately deep pressure).

In this session we will get deep into your tight and hurting muscles using intense and targeted pressure. We will break up knots, stretch your muscle fibers, and bring blood flow back into hypertonic muscle. Restoring blood flow is essential because blood delivers nourishing oxygen to yoour muscle tissue, while removing wastes created through muscle exertion or prolonged tension. A deep tissue massage allows us to get right into the problem, but remember, we can only push sot hard before the body tenses and pushes back.

  • Craniosacral Therapy

I recommend this healing modality if you are struggling with chronic illness, headaches or migraines, or emotional distress. Craniosacral is also effective for addressing areas of pain and restoring good posture.

While Craniosacral Therapy uses a much lighter touch than massage, it is in no way less powerful. This is because Craniosacral Therapy works with very important systems in your body, including your fascial system, central nervous system, and skeletal system. Fascia is a net of connective tissue that wraps around your muscles and bones. Craniosacral Therapy works with your fascia to release tension or twists it has been holding to restore alignment and release pain.

Craniosacral Therapy works with the central nervous system by putting gentle pressure at different points along the spine, calming and nourishing the spinal cord. All of the nerves in your body originate at the spinal cord. Thus this sense of calm, wellbeing, and vitality radiates outward. If your nerves have been tense and on high alert, they will be soothed. If you have been feeling exhausted and heavy, your nervous system will emerge revitalized. You will be brought back into balance.

Craniosacral Therapy works on your skeletal system by restoring alignment within your joints, and creating space between bones. This is why Craniosacral Therapy is known to be so effective for treating headaches. It works with the bones of the skull to release painful areas where the bones have been jammed together. It is truly a miracle modality for headaches, concussions, and migraines.

  • Integrative Session

In truth, any session I give incorporates a few techniques from other modalities. This is because I employ whatever your body is calling for. However, an Integrated Session is a treatment that has been designed to match each of your different issues with the modality that can best address it. Choosing this appointment type allows me to bring all of the tools I have to the massage table and to weave them together for the greatest success.

  • Pregnancy Massage

A massage is a wonderful way to support your pregnant body. As your pregnancy progresses and your baby (and belly!) grow in size, your center of gravity shifts and you are forced to alter your posture. These are natural and necessary changes, but they can put strain on your muscles—asking some to stretch out and others to work way harder than they are used to. All of this can lead to areas of tension and soreness. This is where massage can help. Plus we can give some care to those feet just aching from the extra weight!
